DM Systems acquire Calmet Laboratory Services

Kingston, April 12, 2022, DM Systems and Test Group (DM), specialist in calibration and engineering services, announces the acquisition of Calmet Laboratory Services (Calmet), a privately held calibration provider.

The acquisition of Calmet, established in 1990, consolidates and expands the extensive capability of the DM calibration business, providing additional value and a greater range of services and support to its customer base throughout the UK.

Over the next few months, DM will integrate this new company into its group with the goal of continuing to provide the highest level of service during this time. Our aim is to foster long and mutually beneficial relationships with all customers. 

Calmet’s customers will benefit from DM’s extensive and unique offering, including same day mobile calibration, United Kingdom Accreditation Service (UKAS) and National Traceable Calibration, Electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) and Safety Equipment supply. We will continue to ensure we deliver and tailor our service to meet our customers’ specific needs.

Andrew Lazarus, the previous director, and owner of Calmet, was careful to ensure he selected the right buyer for the business, which he has built over the past 3 decades.

Calmet provides a comprehensive calibration and repair service with a wide scope, offering UKAS, and National Traceable certification, both in the laboratory and onsite. The scope of calibration covers electrical, dimensional, torque, pressure and numerous other parameters.
